The observance of Computer Security Day started in the year 1988. There was a growing use of computers and other computer-related technologies at the late 80’s. Along with the evolution of computers, viruses, computer malware, and hacking skills had also evolved. So, there was a need for a growing consciousness among the new generation of computer users.   As a part of the effort, Computer Security Day was created to raise awareness about computer security.
